Association's ID

Citizens’ Association for helping people displaced from Kosovo and Metohia “Sveti Spas” (“The Holy Salvation”) is a non-party, non-government, non-profit organization that provides humanitarian aid to displaced persons from Kosovo and Metohia.
From the very beginning of its operation (June 1999), the Association is forming a detailed electronic data base.
Today, the Association encompasses about 2200 families with 8000 family members in the Belgrade area, and as many in the rest of Serbia (Pirot, Nis, Kraljevo, Kragujevac, Cacak, Smederevo, Lapovo, Krusevac, Vrnjacka Banja, Arandjelovac, Svilajnac, Aleksinac, Kladovo).
In provinces, the Association has an office in Nis and mobile teams in other towns. Thanks to IOCC and CRS arbitration, the Association can completely perform in the offices of interlinked associations (Kragujevac, Kraljevo, Nis, Smederevska Palanka). The users are displaced persons and refugees: Serbs, Montenegrians, Albanians, Turks, Muslims, Romas, etc.
There are 602 of pre-school age children, 1266 school age children, 788 students, 198 infants, 1196 old people, 9 invalids, and 11 heavily ill and 22 single parents.
Our partner organizations, with whom we established contact (direct or indirect) from the beginning of our work: Group 484, OXFAM, Belgrade Red Cross, UNHCR, IAN, CWS, Covekoljublje (Philanthropy), Mercy Corps, CRS, CAFOD, BPRM, IOCC, DRC, etc.

Projects completed:
- Creative workshop for manufacturing plaster figures "Disneyland" (IOCC),
- “GO AND SEE” visits project (DRC-FRIESTA).
The Association possesses the basic means necessary for undisturbed work on projects’ completion.

Planned activities:
- Completion of the repatriation project - CRS.
- Completion of the project of Union (network of Kosovo organizations) – IOCC.
- Continuation of cooperation with DRC.
- Visiting users in provinces with multimedia program (music and poetry evening with video material projections).
- Education of women and children (english language and computers).
